✍️Edit your custom bot

In this guide we show you how to edit the appearance of your custom bot.

Step 1: Click On The Custom Bot Page

The first thing you need to do is head over to the custom bot page within your dashboard.

Step 2: Editing Your Bots Appearance

Once your bot is connected, you can update you bot token by clicking the “Update Bot Token” button if you do reset it.

By click on the “Edit Bot Details” button you can also manage your bot name and avatar from here too if you want to change it.

IMPORTANT: One of the most common causes of custom bots not working is forgetting to add it to your server. If your bot shows as connected in our app, be sure to make sure it is added to your server/guild.

Disconnecting Your Custom Bot

If you want to disconnect your custom bot from dotNotify, you can do that by clicking the "Disconnect Bot" button. Once your bot is disconnected, your server messages will be delivered with our bot (dotNotify).

You can reconnect your custom bot at any time by re-adding your bot token.
